Obituaries of Dick Sharp's siblings
SHARP, Adlai Denton
Adlai Denton Sharp, who lived at Newburg, MO and a former resident of Moultrie Co. died in Clinton OK on Thursday. He was 68 years of age and was a retired railroad switch foreman.
He was the son of John R. and Frankie Taylor Sharp. Surviving him are his wife, Marguerite, sons Kenneth of California, Charles of Clinton OK, Dana of Missouri, and daughters Iona at home, Mrs. Ruby Northedge of Royal Oak, MI, Mrs. Doris Wilson of Omaha, NB, a brother Charles of Bruce, Dick Sharp of Decatur, and a sister, Mrs. Nellie Sampson of Sullivan.
The body was sent to the McMullin Funeral Home in Sullivan, where
arrangements are not completed at this time. (Services were held at the Funeral
Home, Burial in the Whitfield Cemetery east of Bruce, IL)
SHARP, Roe
Roe Sharp passed away suddenly Saturday evening at 5 o'clock in St. Mary's
Hospital. He suffered injuries November 25, when he fell at the East End
elevator of the Sullivan Grain Co. where he was employed. He was recovering
satisfactorily for a time. His death was caused by complications from his
injuries. He was born Feb. 27, 1890. Survivors are his wife Rosa, 2 sons, Lewis
of this city, and Chester of Morrisonville, a daughter, Mrs. Roberta Heiland of
Sullivan, 3 brothers, Dick of Moweaqua, Addie of Newburg, MO, and Charles of
Bruce, also a sister, Mrs. Nellie Sampson of Sullivan. Funeral Services were
held at 2:00 Monday afternoon in the McMullin Funeral Home, conducted by Rev.
D.M. Talley. Interment was in the Whitfield Cemetery.
