The Data Upload dialog box allows you to select the weather data to be displayed on your web site, as well as determine how it is displayed and how often it is updated. The three Data Upload Profiles can be independently configured to upload different data at different frequencies, and to upload to different subdirectories on your web server.

Set the Upload Frequency

The Data Upload Frequency allows you to determine how often you upload weather data to your web site.

Configure the Data Upload Frequency:

1.    Select the data upload frequency:

·    Select the time interval between uploads in the "Upload every" pull-down menu.

·    The upload frequency can be set to 1, 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes; 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 or 12 hours; or 1 day.

·    The default setting of "----" prevents the profile from uploading.

2.    Enter the "Starting at" time:

·    The "Starting at" time is a reference point which WeatherLink uses to determine when exactly to upload your weather data. WeatherLink determines the moment to initiate a data upload by checking the upload interval and starting time against your computer’s system time.

·    If you are uploading every 15 minutes with a starting at time of 12:03, then WeatherLink uploads your data every 15 minutes at 3, 18, 33 and 48 minutes after the hour.

·    If you are uploading every 6 hours with a starting time of 2:30, WeatherLink uploads your data every 6 hours at 2:30 am, 8:30 am, 2:30 pm, and 8:30 pm.

·    If you are uploading once a day with a starting time of 6:30 am, WeatherLink uploads your data once a day at 6:30 am.

·    Your computer must be running WeatherLink at the time of scheduled upload for the upload to take place.

3.    If you want your computer to "Download Weather Station First" before uploading new data:

·    Select "Download Weather Station First" to have WeatherLink download the most recently archived data from your weather station before transferring the weather data files to the Internet.
