Warning: It is being set up through a commercial provider with all the related disadvantages like advertising. The advantage of using a commercial provider is that the next SPIN Chair may easily become the new majordomo. In addition, the cost of the space on the server will be supported by small advertisements contained after the messages rather than by individual members. (BTW, if we decide the ads are too intrusive, our options are to elect to use SPIN funds to eliminate them or someone may volunteer to provide server space and become Majordomo.)

Feel free to use this list for any mathematics and learning support related topics. As you know, a list is only useful if it is used.

Our Yahoo! Groups page has some additional features. Check the navigation bar on the left to go to them. You can set up a chat with other members. You can also create a poll on some topic and ask members to cast their votes. The votes can be tallied along the way. Perhaps this would be a good research tool (except that you won't get a random sample).
