At the end of 1996, we bought a baby cockatiel (not to be confused with the larger cockatoo, of "Baretta" fame). Since we're into golf, we thought a golf-related name would be appropriate. Now, it turns out that you can't tell the sex of these birds until they are several months old. Taking a cue from the movie "To Wong Foo...", we chose the name Chi Chi, after famed golfer Chi Chi Rodriguez. It turns out that our Chi Chi is indeed female. Even at a full-grown weight of less than 3 ounces, she is a handful.
