This is the last image taken during my October 1998 trip to Japan. The scene is the bike parking lot at the Mito train station. As you might guess by looking at this, the primary means of getting to and from the station was not by car.
I've always been fascinated by Ferraris (see below). Just about every car show has at least one. The owner of this vehicle ensured that I wouldn't be disappointed this time. But, I couldn't resist this display of Ferrari's Prancing Horse emblem.
Now we're off to the Texas Hill Country. This trip proved particularly productive from a photographic perspective, and several more shots from it should be appearing here soon. Our highlight from the first evening at the camp was this sunset. Yes, I admit doctoring the colors a little bit relative to the scan, but who's to say they got the colors right in the scanner anyway? Furthermore, all present remember this as one helluva sunset.
The next night the family gathered together for an honest to goodness hayride (well, as good as you can get on a trailer being pulled by a jeep). Some in the bunch seem to be having fun already.
Just to confuse things even more, here is a picture from yet another trip. Again, I have many more from this trip (several of which should be better than this one). This is one of the many lighthouse's guarding Maine's coast. If I get really bored one day, I'll go look up its name and insert it here. On the other hand, if you're bored and you know, the name, feel free to pass it along!
While visiting my parents during a vacation, I borrowed my father's camera for a few hours and shot a roll in the backyard. My most uncooperative subject was the neighbor's cat, Snickers. I continued pestering him until he decided to run under the fence. For some reason, he stopped just on the other side and stuck his head back under...Click!
