The poets of Athens Avenue have created this Internet portal to showcase their work together. It seems fitting that they jointly display their work, for the poets here regard the creative process as more a collaborative endeavor than solitary task. Athens Avenue is a community of poets that since 1996 has used the Internet to communicate and connect with each other and to create and publish poetry online. For each of them poetry has been a life-long journey, one dedicated to the single-minded pursuit and perfection of their craft.
