1967 Triumph Spitfire

Renee kept looking around and asking me when we were going to get "her" a car. About the time we had Little Red a year, we came across a 1968 MK III Triumph Spitfire in Lexington, Kentucky. We actually saved this one from the parts man, who was willing to give more for it than I did, but the previous owner did not want the car scraped for parts. He wanted someone to restore this car, so "Ol Spit" came home with us. She is now in the midst of restoration in our garage.
Photographs can be deceiving, this has to be the ugliest paint job on this planet. It really appears the paint was applied with a hose-type garden sprayer. This little car has all the the normal problems, rusted out floor pans, bad gauges, rotted interior. The good news is she runs great; I drove her around the block a few times and into the garage, hope springs eternal !
