Protests Against The World According To Me

This past weekend was the "Global Day of Action", or as it should have been called "International Bitch About Anything and Everything Day". It continues to amaze me how people think and how they process information. I have touched on a lot of this on previous occasions, but it bears repeating. The inability to discern black from white, good from bad and truth from falsehoods is remarkable. The anti-war movement is the easiest example of this radical difference and the protests over the weekend are vivid proof of the mindlessness of some of your fellow human beings. I grabbed some photos from the web of several gatherings around the world, from Brazil to Britain to Mexico to California. Most are from San Francisco. (What did I tell you about that place?) They come from several sources. Michael Totten, LT Smash and one other person that I cannot identify. I offer them up as an illustration of the lunacy, expose them for whom they truly are and to make you mad as hell. Their messages are all over the map. There are socialists, anti-Israel terrorism sympathizers and other mental midgets with a chip on their shoulders about some conspiracy or another. Stay tuned after the photos. I'm starting off with the most offensive poster of the lot.	Remember when the conspiracy lunatics were on the far right?	It was all a great plot to justify Bush's war for oil.

Gee, these folks got a hold of colorful pre-printed signs.	If we only would stop blowing things up we could build bridges.	You just knew that these folks are at the heart of most of this.

Socialism is an impossibility and has failed everywhere. But these people haven't gotten the memo.	They call the Democrats a party of war and racism. I'm sure that comes as a surprise to them. Republicans will welcome the company. They have been called that for decades.	Ho Chi Min rocks! Wooo! God, I hate aging hippies.

The writing on the flag says "No war but class war".	Do people even have mohawks anymore? I guess so. The chick on the right has a great rack but not a brain in her head.	So many bigots, so little time. Life is so simple when you can simply accuse your opposition of bigotry. You don't have to logically and effectively argue your side.

This is from a gathering in Brazil. I thought that would be one of the places on earth that would actually know what a Nazi is since so many fled to Brazil.	Brazilian communists.	I think this is also from Brazil, but it might not be. It is one of a great number of signs attacking Israel.

Israel trying to keep out murdering terrorists is apartheid. Yet another poor analogy.	Another old hippie. What has he been doing with his life for the past thirty years since the wonderful Vietnam protests?	I'm sure the Israelis would support an end to war. It's the Palestinian Arab terrorist that need to get the message.

We are all just puppets of the Jews. Yeah, there's no anti-Semitism here.	I guess this means the Israeli Red Cross (or Red Star of David?) will run low of A+.	A guy with a Germany shirt holding an anti-Israel sign. Interesting.

Don't speak for me, pal.	I hope this sticker doesn't won't come off and his cap is ruined. This photo is from a protest in the U.K.	Hippies! Aaarrrggghhh! There is so much wrong with this sign I can't even start.

Remember when the panicked left thought Reagan would plunge the earth into nuclear war? All they did was change the names.	But strangely enough these citizens have the freedom to assemble. They should try that in some of the places in the world they are supporting.	I can't believe this guy actually allowed himself to be photographed like this.

It's cool to compare Bush to Hitler. It's also intellectually disingenuous, blatantly dishonest and vacant of serious thought.

Remember when I told you that San Francisco was a haven for Kucinich supporters? Well here's another one.	Funny how the Mexicans hate the U.S. yet so many want to come here. Jealous much?	These people think we are inflicting terrorism against North Korea. I'm trying to type this with a straight face.

Ah, yes another nation we are oppressing and terrorizing. Now Haiti is thrown into the mix.	To borrow a phrase from a previous sign, so many stupid questions, so little time.	Let us not forget Afghanistan. Everything is occupation and empire with these folks.

If there is good way to sway people to your side, holding a sign that says "Death to America" is not it.	San Diego gay protesters. I guess they are protesting something. It's hard to tell.	I wonder what they do to queers in the Arab world. Probably stone them to death. Makes you ponder the level of thought behind this sign.

The proper translation of this sign is: "Support the killing of American troops in Iraq."	Basically this sign advocates the U.S. off the earth.	This Palestinian terrorist sympathizer supports the spineless Spanish electorate's ousting of Aznar.

World domination? Wanting evil people to stop attacking innocents is world domination? Some people will believe any bad thing about their country.	This fellow looks less like a protester than a guy selling stupid protest signs. "Hey, freakin' hippies! Get yer damn signs here! Six bucks a piece, two for ten!"	I don't know where this protest was. Looks like somewhere in southern Asia. I'm fascinated by the drawings of the monkeys with bleeding gums on the sign. I don't know what they have to do with Bush or Blair.

If the pictures weren't frightening enough (not frightening because this was a vast majority of people but in that there are actually people who think like this), here is a link to a conversation a blogger called LT Smash had with one of these empty-headed useful idiots. I don't know how long the link will last. Bloggers tend to keep their stuff archived for a long time so even if the address changes I'm sure it will still be in cyberspace somewhere. Read it. The patience this man maintained was remarkable. I'm not sure I would have made it all the way through without laughing, screaming or punching this little know-it-all college student in the face. (She is a young woman, so I wouldn't have actually struck her. But it would be tempting to slap some sense into her.)
