250. William Watkins Agnew was born before 1765 in Ireland. He died on 13 Oct 1805 in Cincinnatti, Hamilton County, OH. He resided in Hamilton County, OH. Marj Edlen has stated that "all evidence shows that the Agnews were in Ohio by the late 1700's." She also states "It is now sure that William was born much earlier (than 1765 - compiler's note) as he had a son (who probably came with him from ireland) named Samuel. We have a letter written in the early 1800's concerning children of Samuel." (email 7/16/2003, edlen@@gallatinriver.net to Cathleen Ganzel) He was married to Margaret (Peggy) Brant about 1785 in Bergen County, NJ.

251. Margaret (Peggy) Brant was born on 13 Feb 1767 in Bergen County, NJ. She died on 17 Mar 1854 in Butler Co., OH. Children were:

child i. Brant Agnew was born on 31 Dec 1786 in Bergen County, NJ.
child ii. Joseph Brant Agnew was born on 22 Dec 1788. Marj Edlen reports that Joseph and Meriam (or Merium) Agnew (nee McKee) are credited with starting the Whitewater Society of Shakers around 1823 and that "most of the Agnew-McKee families were members". (email 7/16/2003 edlen@@gallatinriver.net)
