ELEVENTH GENERATION
1026. Thomas Rand was
born about 1652. Thomas was taxed in Greenland in 1690. He served as constable
for Newcastle 1699-1700. The family is also associated with Sandy Beach. There
may have been an earlier family wiped outin the massacre of 1691.
From Locke Genealogy: Ephraim Locke (b. 2/18/1775 Barrington, NH, writing in
his Bible of his ancesters -
Joshua Foss married Lydia Rand. Lydia Rand also descended from Rye people; her
grandparents came over aged people about 1630, and they with her father's first
wife and two children were killed by Indians and were buried in one grave, now
known to Rye people.
