For twelve years there was a cooperative creamery operated under old Grange Hall on Waldron's Hill. Alphonso B. Locke was the manager. All the milk from Center Strafford and Bow Lake was brought into a small shed, lowered through a trap door, poured into big tanks, and then into seperators. This business was very successful until the early 1900's when milk production in Barrington began to decrease.
