The Three Types of Advertising Options Available*

1. Sitewide Banner Ads - Viewable on all major site pages and majority of linked pages. Please Note: There is a very limited amount of space available and thus will be sold and assigned on a first come basis.
2. Product Showcase Ads - Available on both home page in featured new product area and within the Product Showcase page.
3. Buyers Guide - Enhanced listings (Logo only or Logo with product ads).

   * Contributing authors of articles within the Management Center will receive free logo, P.R., and hyperlinkage to their sites.

The Basic Introductory Price and Size Structure

• Top & Bottom Sitewide Banner Ads (pricing) - These very limited highest visibility multi-rotational ads are 468 pixels X 60 pixels and are priced as follows:
  • Top Banner - Each rotation (3 total) $499/month or $1,200/month exclusive.
  • Bottom Banner - Each rotation (3 total $199/month or $499/month exclusive.
    
    
• Sidebar Sitewide Banner Ads (pricing) - the basic banner price unit on the ad side bars is 140 pixels X 30 pixels and is priced at $69/month.** For example; if your ad was to occupy 140 x 60 pixels - similar to the example Fantastic Food ad on the right hand advertising bar, that would run (2x$69/month = $138/ month).
  • Add-on premium for the one available top spot on the right hand advertising bar is set at $299/month regardless of the size of the ad. (See example Amy's Kitchen ad).
  • Add-on premium for the left navigational advertising bar - Viewable throughout site (all major and minor pages like articles, etc.) is $79/month regardless of size. (See example Hain ad)

  
  ** MarketSaver suggestion relative to premium spaces: There is an obvious economy of scale advantage to make your ad as large as possible to spread the add-on premium over a larger ad space and reduce your per pixel price.

• Product Showcase Ads (pricing) - the basic unit size is a 30 pixel X 30 pixel picture of product with a 50-75 word ad description. The two locations available on a first come basis, are as follows:
  • Home Page Featured Product - Only three slots available ($129/month each). Also, includes automatic placement in the Product Showcase section.
  • Product Showcase section inclusion ($33/month).
    
    
• Buyers Guide Enhanced Listings - There are three options:
  • Free Listing - Text only
  • Enhanced Listing - Includes color Logo at Top ($10/month)
  • Full Advertising Listing - Logo and product pictures/advertising area..makes a great marketing sheet ($20/month)

Other Conditions Pertaining to Advertising

• First come basis - Given the overall limitation on total available space and premium locations, all ads will be assigned on a first come basis.
• Initial 3 month commitment - Due to the added expense of design and setup as well as the overall nature of how the site is being used as a foundation for a intensive three month direct marketing program, an initial 3 month commitment is required. ( see introductory manufacturer letter and media kit for further details).
• Design services - limited design services are included in intial ad production (this includes: typical sizing, rotation design, some composition, and consultation with your graphic department).

*ALL PRICES PREDICATED ON QUARTERLY (3 MONTH) MINIMUM COMMITMENT - All advertisements must be purchased in 3 month blocks. The reason for this is that while this site contains numerous real-time features (news engines and a continually updated buyers guide, for example), it is designed to be part of a larger direct marketing campaign which requires a three month cycle to complete. Beginning each quarter, new expert articles and a complete update will be done and the direct-marketing cycle will begin anew.

TOTAL AVAILABILITY OF AD SPACE: There are only one space available each for Top and Bottom banners and Top banner of Advertising Bars. Total space available for all advertising is dictated by design limitations and thus will be decided upon as the spaces are alloted.

Animation Guidelines: Limited animation accepted. Please, no flashing images or rapid frame rate in animated GIF89a files.

CLOSING: Materials for ads to be designed by Veg-Solutions must be submitted one week prior to start date, in either a standard digital format (TIF, JPG, GIF, BMP, PSD, DOC, TXT, RTF). One proof will be submitted to the customer for approval by e-mail, fax or mail before being posted to the web. Cancellations are not accepted. A single ad will be posted for a 90-day period, and can start at any time during the month.

TERMS: All payment terms must be in writing and are subject to management approval. All ads must be paid-in-full before running.

COMMISSIONS: A 15% agency commission will be given to recognized agencies, provided that invoices are paid within terms.

MISCELLANEOUS:

a. Veg-Solutions reserves the right, using its sole discretion, to Accept, reject or edit any advertisement not within Veg-Solutions' publishing standards.

b. Advertiser and/or agency assumes sole responsibility for the content of all advertising printed by Veg-Solutions and will indemnify and hold Veg-Solutions harmless from any claims arising against Veg-Solutions, including but not limited to, claims for defamation, invasion of privacy, and trademark and copyright infringement.

c. Design of the ad is included in the listed price. Ads designed by Veg-Solutions will not contain any animation.

d. Notice will be given before rate changes. Any contract made before rate changes will be billed at the new rate.

e. Page views, ad views, accessibility of the site and clickthrough rate are not guaranteed.
