The house,
located on Chincoteague Island, is a short
drive (or bike ride) from Assateague National seashore and Chincoteague National

piping plovers, Delmarva fox squirrels or other species at the refuge. Birding, hiking,
walking on the beach, and
biking are popular pastimes, but there is also opportunities for fishing,
crabbing, and of course, viewing the famed wild ponies.
