You're good at spinning out your message on the fly; if only you could develop it, refine it, and express it in writing. But writing takes time; it requires a quiet, contemplative space — and a lot of energy that you don't always have at the end of your long workday.

Let me be of service. I'm a good listener and a quick study. I can capture your ideas and put them in writing that is clear and persuasive. And you can count on me to meet your deadline. What is your message? Whether it's a background paper or a book, a vision of your company's future or a reflection on its past, a personal memoir or an organizational profile — I can help you. We can begin in your office or any other convenient location. We talk about your project, and I listen carefully to your ideas. I use a notepad or audio recorder to capture your words, your style, your voice, and then craft them into polished writing, consulting with you along the way. Or I can take material you've already written and work with you to turn it into what you want it to be. Perhaps it's from a diary, a half-dozen notepads, or published articles, and you'd like to build a book out of it. Maybe it's a set of brilliant ideas in search of a unifying theme. For some projects, we can confer by telephone, e-mail, or Internet chat (instant messaging). I've worked with clients from across town, and I've worked with a collaborator who lives halfway around the world. If your project requires research, I know my way around libraries, archives, and the Internet.
