The Book Sense Book of the Year Awards (formerly ABBYs) are given each year to the "hidden treasures" in the adult and children's book categories that ABA bookstore members most enjoyed recommending to their customers during the previous year. The ABBY was first awarded in 1991. The children's award was added in 1993. The winners for adult fiction/adult literature follow.
