The American Booksellers Book of the Year (ABBY) Awards are given each year to the "hidden treasures" in the adult and children's book categories that ABA bookstore members most enjoyed recommending to their customers during the previous year. The ABBY was first awarded in 1991. The children's award was added in 1993. Its winners are listed as follows.
