Hyper doubles the attacking power of your gun and all other weapons.

The mutant boss for each level is usually as far from the start of the level as possible.If you have to choose between passageways, the longer one or the furthest from where you started will usaually be the right choice.

tThe seceret to destroying the mutant frog in stage 4 is to pay attention to it's hops.It uses it's tongue after the first three hops, fire droplets after the next two, and the fire missile after the nxt three.As long as you stay away from the front of the frog when the first two are fired, you won't be hit.When the frog fires the third, run in one direction ( not away from or towards it ) and it'll miss you.You will only be able to successfully fight back after it's first two attacks-by going beside it and striking when it's mouth is open.

The lobster in stage 5 is best defeated by staying back and attacking with your gun maxed out, or one notch below max.Using bombs in very difficult and gets harder as time passes. ( It blows bubbles that keep you from getting close.

Lava is difficult to get out of.But don't panic.If you wait a second or two before trying to jump out, you won't get stuck.

Sometimes it's best to fight enemies from outside your vehicle, particularly if they aren't very powerful.The advantages are that full energy is restored when you re-enter the vehicle and that it will not sustain any damage while you're away.

To save sometime ( it's a BIG game ) don't bother to kill every enemy that's in your immediate area, if it's not directly in your path, just keep moving.You will not be able to defeat the green idol ( Big Green head ) in the first level until you defeat the boss, and receive the Hyper cannon.

Look for shortcuts as you move along, the designers have cleverly made shortcuts that can be used AFTER you complete most levels, and are moving to another stage.If you hold down the A button while fighting the bosses, you will be able to strafe left and right and dodge there shots.You will need at least ONE capsule for your gun to be able to stay as far to the bottom of the screen as possible ( without any capsules, your gun can only shoot a short distance from where you are standing )

When you're outside of your tank, Jason can only walk off one ledge to a lower ledge, jumping down onto lower ledges will prove FATAL.
