Servicemembers United
to Take Survey of LGBT Veterans
Servicemembers United is teaming up with national, state and local LGBT organizations across the country to help our community do a better job of identifying, connecting, including, and counting the largely unknown and disconnected population of LGBT veterans among us. National estimates indicate that there are more than 1 million LGBT veterans in the United States, yet identification of and connection to this diaspora is lacking.
If you have ever served in the U.S. military, please take a moment
to complete the very brief National LGBT Veterans Census at
http://servicemembersunited.org/?page_id=1175%29. If you are not a veteran (or if you are and you also know other LGBT veterans), please forward this survey link and urge them be counted as well (the survey is anonymous).
This initiative will help both Servicemembers United, as it seeks to identify demographic information about the population of LGBT veterans, and Equality Maryland, as it seeks to better understand its own community and resources.

or her life and been loved deeply, then I and humanity stand condemned. Paul says in Romans, Chapter 8, "All creation is standing on tiptoe waiting for the sons and daughters of God to come into their own fulfillment." The clear picture is one of a forgiven people moving to become co-creators with God in an unfinished universe. This is what we are waiting for. It is almost an intolerable compliment that our Lord pays us, to think that we could walk worthy of such a vocation.

Food for Homeless People
Candy Johnson leads a ministry to feed the homeless and this is done every 2nd Saturday of the Month. We meet at church at 10:00 am to prepare the food and leave at 12:00 noon to hand it out and to also pray for the people. There is a sign up sheet on the striped table. Sign the left side if you want to donate food or supplies, and sign the right side if you want to help volunteer that day. This is a very important ministry as it touches many lives and we ask you to help out as you are able.

The Spiritual Healers
"The Spiritual Healers" is the name of MCCB's dance group for teenagers, led by Deborah Ruffin. They have danced at the Assembly of God church in Owings Mills. The group will soon be performing in our 11 am worship service.
