Thanks for posting all this information. I have about half of these books, and not all of those have covers. Some of these, I don't think I ever saw. So thanks again!

I only wish I could claim to have read them all. I fondly remember reading the few of these our school library owned; "Secret of the Martian Moons", "Missing Men of Saturn", "Trouble on Titan", "The Secret of Saturn's Rings" and "Rocket Jockey". Being school library copies, they all lacked these wonderful covers, a number of which I saw here for the first time. Thank you for that. What I DO remember vividly are those fabulous Schomburg end papers! Schomburg had an enormous influence on my own self-taught art technique. If anyone is curious: http://www.elfwood.com/art/m/a/maccaskill/ Thanks again for the wonderful site!
I read them all, when I was 12-13 years old - I even have two volumes in my library ( bought for considerably more than the $2.50 cover price) "Star Conquerors" and "Stadium beyond the Stars" - the two books I remember as my first entry into this series. Great to see all the old covers again!
What everyone else said. I had every one of the Winston series when I was aged 10 through about 15. My first solo trip away from home was to Philadelphia to the offices of the John C. Winston company to replace "Mists of Dawn" because a friend had lost it. The people in the office were shocked that a 12 year old would have made a 70 mile trip alone just to replace a book that my local bookstore didn't have in stock. Silly me. They sold me a copy, though, for what was then the going rate of 2 bucks.
Please visit my webpage dedicated to this wonderful series of books. You'll see scans of some of the covers, and a complete list of titles and authors. Take Care, Steve Chaplin. Maychap@att.net
