Teachers
- Our teachers have an average of 16 years in the classroom.
- 55% of our teachers have Master degrees.
- Many of our teachers supervise our After-School Clubs, such as Book Club and Artists Gone Wild. This helps the teachers and students get to know each other on another level.
- Our teachers often attend their students’ special events outside of school, such as chess tournaments, piano recitals, community musicals and soccer games.
- Our teachers have exceptional experience with children who are just learning English. The teachers know how to modify the academics, help the children learn English, and help the children and their families feel comfortable.
- We perform background checks with the Michigan State Police. Many of our teachers also have CPR, First Aid, and Blood Pathogen training.
- All our pre-school and Jr. Kindergarten teachers complete at least 40 hours of training per year, in topics such as Developmentally Appropriate Practice, Positive Discipline, Love and Logic, MLPP, Spalding Phonogram Program, Smart Moves Motor Series and Conscious Discipline.
- Our teachers are leaders in the community, actively participating in church groups, organized athletics, and civic organizations.
- Most importantly, our teachers are kind, loving people who really care about their students.
