Helped introduce text based information technology to this software company. Performed software installation, customization, documentation, and training for Comshare software products. Developed client applications including: Executive Information Systems, PC and networked Oracle based personnel systems, payroll interfaces, and relational databases. Highlights included national responsibility for the Profiles PC payroll interface; the GMAC Book Entry Reporting System, which was the largest paperless corporate commercial paper delivery system in North America; programming and support for a large networked quality control application; design and implementation of an automated software update system for a PC based software product line, and support for the phase out Comshare's remote computing services. Completed numerous short term consulting, training, and problem-solving engagements.

Earlier, as Marketing Information Systems Specialist, developed revenue analysis, sales call, and technical activity reporting, all integrated with direct mail marketing support. Components of this system were used internally by Comshare, Inc. for over nine years.

Designed and implemented research studies for the School of Education and the Center for Research on Social Organization. Wrote research monographs, and drafted a grant proposal which was funded at over a quarter of a million dollars. Provided technical support for Detroit Area Study omnibus replication project. Functioned for a year as a member of the university wide Computing Policy Committee. Consulted on research design and analysis. Served as a departmental computer expert for academic sponsored and unsponsored research applications. Taught classroom modules, developed research databases, and facilitated the completion of over 40 Ph.D. dissertations.

Personal

Hobbies include long distance running, computer BBS networking, dog training, gardening, and antique motorcycles.
