This will be a hy-tek meet. Rosters must be submitted by April 1st to tomahawktiming@yahoo.com. Final rosters will be posted here by April 4th. There will be a $60.00 fee for any NJ school that must be manually added to the database. OUT OF STATE SCHOOLS WHO DO NOT HAVE HYTEK MAY SUBMIT A ROSTER WITH THEIR ENTRY FORM FOR NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE.

1. All participants and coaches must enter the grounds together as a team

2. The all events will start promptly at 9:00 A.M.

3. Packets containing entry cards and program may be picked up at the front of the stadium at the East Gate.

4. The Field Events will be conducted as relays. Each school may enter one team consisting of two boys each. Their combined efforts will decide their places in the competition. In case of ties, the second combined effort of each team member of the teams involved will be used to determine who gets the medal. 

5. Pole Vault  and High jump starting height will be set by meet management based on the entry cards seeds submitted by the coaches .   Five alive system will be used in both events.

7. The Triple Jump and Long Jump will be conducted as an Open Pit.  The open pit will close at 1:30 P.M      In the Long Jump, Shot Put,  Triple Jump, Discus and Javelin each competitor will be allowed a total of three attempts, To score both members must have at least one legal jump or throw.  No Finals in these events.

8. Early Bird seeding will be used  at this meet.  Make sure to place your completed cards in the correct container in the paddock area which is located at the West end of the stadium.  Listen for the calls for each event.

9. Instruct your athletes to report promptly to the Paddock or to the Field Event Judge with their entry card, completed with first and last names and HYTEK NUMBER when their event is called. Cards will be handed to the clerk or field event judge at that time. We will not hold a race for a late team. Please have a manager or teammate accompany your team to the paddock area for personal property.

10. The Sprint Med Relay will be run 400-200-200-800 and the Distance Med Relay will be run 1200-400-800-1600 

11. The 4x200 M Relay will be run in lanes, however the third leg may cut in provided they do not impede another runner

12.  DIGITAL PICTURE TAKING:  Taking digital photos with any electronic device in the area of competition and showing them to a competitor is a violation of national federation rules.  If the competitor is shown the pictures, he will be disqualified from the event.  If the coach shows the pictures to an athlete , he/she is disqualified under the sportsmanship rule.

13. Bring your own batons and starting blocks . Blocks may have  no greater than 1/4” spikes only. A teammate may sit behind a runner to help secure the blocks

14. No head sets of any  type  are permitted  on  the  track, in any  competition area or in  the paddock.  Please advise your athletes to leave them behind.

 15. 1/4” spikes only will be allowed on the track and runways. Javelin boots or football cleats may be used for the Javelin event only.   

16   Division assignment will be based on the NJSIAA grouping.    Teams participating in this meet may be assigned to another division

 

17. Entry form due: Thursday, March 29, 2012

  Medals will be given to  1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th  place finishers.


A Championship Trophy will be awarded to the winning team in each division 





 

NOTE: 1/4TH” SPIKE LENGTH RULE WILL BE STRICKLY ENFORCED

Each member of the team will remain active until he accumulates three consecutive

 

 

 

 misses at a height or completes 6 total attempts (i.e. Same rules that govern the individual high jump/pole vault) . The combined best height for each contestant counts for the total of the team.

 

 

 

 

Both contestants must clear a height to be eligible for a place. A jumper does

High Jump & Pole Vault NO TEAM MEMBER may pass more than two consecutive

 

 

heights starting @the opening height ( ie. Start 9 ft. all competitors must enter @

 

 

 

or before 10 ft. ) after both team members have cleared a height they may  pass to a 

 

 

height of their choosing.  Exception   If it can be verified by NJ Runners, that in another

 

 

meet the Athlete has performed above that height they may enter @ a higher height.
