Chapter 15

After helping Laura get Luke into her car, Sonny got the call from Elizabeth that his services would be needed in a couple of hours. He headed to the warehouse with Adam to make all the arrangements. Once that was taken care of, Benny arrived and occupied him for the next several hours with business, including a report on Ricardo at the casino. "Our guy's been watching him and he's been clean at work." "Yeah, but the minute we leave, he'll start using again," Sonny replied. "Tell you what, have our guy drop in there at different times for a while, so Ricardo doesn't know when he's coming." "Good idea," Benny said. "I know," Sonny told him.

Back at Harborview Towers, Alexis was working in her penthouse when Jax came to visit. Johnny announced him, and then returned to his post outside her door. "How's Kristina?" Jax asked. "She's great!" Alexis cheerfully replied. "I really wish you'd let me protect her, instead of relying on Corinthos. He's going to get you both killed." "Jax," Alexis admonished, "stop talking about Sonny like that. He's been nothing but wonderful to me." "Although," she thought, "not as wonderful as I'd like." Jax was about to respond when they heard a loud "thud" in the hallway. He headed to the door to see what had happened, when it was kicked in by several of Helena's goons. She followed them inside, "hello Jax; Natasha. We're going for a little ride."

When Sonny returned home, he found Johnny unconscious in the hallway and Alexis gone from her penthouse. "Wake him up!" he roared at Adam. Adam bent down and shook Johnny awake. He sat up, holding his head. When he realized Sonny was standing there, looking down at him, he remembered what happened and exclaimed, "oh shit!"

Holding ice on his head and sitting on the couch in Penthouse 4, Johnny tried to calm Sonny down and prevent him from out and out whacking him. "I give you a simple job Johnny, to watch Alexis..." "Boss, there were like four of them, I swear! I'm sorry!" "And you didn't hear anything about where they were taking them?" Sonny asked. "No I didn't." "Damn it!" Sonny yelled. "Sonny!" everyone turned to look at the open doorway, where Lucky Spencer had just appeared. "Lucky? What's going on?" "Oh God, I need your help. I don't know where else to turn!" "OK, calm down and tell me. Is this about Helena?" "They killed Elizabeth...Nicholas and Helena...I can't believe she's dead!" Sonny put his hand on the young man's shoulder, "Lucky, listen to me. She's not dead. They faked her death, and I got her out of the country. She's perfectly safe." Lucky looked at him with wide eyes, "are you sure? I saw her..." "I'm sure. But Lucky, Helena took Alexis and I have to find her. Do you have any idea where they could have gone?" Lucky smiled, "I sure do. I'll take you there."

Meanwhile, in Helena's lab, she, Stavros and their henchmen surveyed the assembled crowd: Laura, Stephan, Alexis, Bobbie, Jax, Nicholas, Carly, Gia, Scott Baldwin, and Luke Spencer. The first eight people had been brought there on Helena's orders. The last two, had somehow found the cave entrance to the lab and stumbled in, dressed in the black suits they had taken off some of Helena's guards. They were quickly overpowered and tied up, as were the other men, Stephan, Jax and Nicholas. Coincidentally, Jax was wearing black as well. Helena was pleasantly surprised when one of her guards opened the lab door and walked in with Lucky Spencer. "Oh Lucky! I'm so glad you could join us!" Her joy was short lived however, when a large group of large men walked in behind them, with guns drawn. Once they secured the room, Sonny Corinthos entered. Alexis' face lit up at the sight of her friend; her savior. "Sonny!" Carly exclaimed, assuming he was there to save her. Sonny cleared his throat, surveyed the room and spoke, "boys, anyone in a black suit moves, plug 'em." Jax, Scott, and Luke all yelled "no!" in unison, and Sonny added, "oh, well, not him," and pointed at Luke.

"The police are on their way Luke," Sonny informed him. "Anyone you want dealt with before they get here?" Luke smiled, "yeah, the undead over there," motioning with his head at Stavros. "Oh, you must be Stavros," Sonny said staring at him. "And who the hell are you?" Stavros replied with a sneer. "Get out of here before I remove you myself!" "Oh now that wasn't smart," Luke said shaking his head. Sonny nodded at Johnny, who, eager to save his own butt, shot Stavros right in the chest. "Stavros!" Helena screamed rushing to his side. "Oh man, please let me finish him!" Luke pleaded, watching his enemy gasping on the floor for breath. Sonny walked over and cut Luke's hands free, and Johnny handed him the gun. Luke went to Stavros and stood over him, "see you in hell...and this time I really mean it!" He pulled the trigger, and shot Stavros right between the eyes. "I'll kill you for this Spencer!" Helena declared. "You'll never get away from me..." "Oh stuff it lady!" Luke exclaimed, pulling the trigger and finishing her off as well.

Carly ran to Sonny, "I knew you'd come!" "How could I not?" he replied, his eyes falling on Alexis, who was crying with relief. She truly thought Helena was going to kill her and that she'd never see her sister, or the man she loved, again. Yes, she loved Sonny Corinthos with all her heart and soul, and now that she'd been given another chance, she was going to make sure he knew it. Sonny brushed past Carly and strode to Alexis. He took her in his arms and drew her into a deep but tender kiss. The chaotic room fell into total silence, except for the gasps coming from Carly and Jax.
