Sonny Corinthos |
Chapter
6--NC 17
"I told you, I have to study!" Robin Scorpio giggled as her friend Philippe tickled her in the side. "Come on, I'll just come up for a little while!" he insisted as they approached Robin's apartment. Robin stopped cold in her tracks at the sight of a black limousine parked in front of her building. She instinctively knew it was Sonny. They hadn't spoken since she'd seen him last at the Nurse's Ball; when she found out he'd married Carly. "What's wrong?" Philippe asked her. Robin shook her head, "nothing. Look, there's something I need to talk care of. I'll see you later, OK?" "What do you mean?" Philippe asked, not wanting to leave. Robin didn't respond as the car door opened and Sonny Corinthos emerged. He stood, facing her, but not saying a word. "Who's that?" Philippe asked in a loud voice. He and Robin had just started to get close, and he wanted to get even closer. He was nervous that this dark stranger would hinder that. Sonny decided to approach them, since Robin seemed frozen in place. "Hello sweetheart." Robin stared at him. He was as handsome as ever. "Sonny. Is it Jason? Is he..." Sonny cut her off with the shake of his head, and Robin visibly relaxed. "Oh thank God. So why are you here?" she asked, figuring the only reason Sonny would come to see her was if Jason were dead. "I'd like to speak to you, if that's OK," Sonny quietly replied. His heart ached at the sight of her; his little sister; Stone's love. He had to fight to hold back the tears that threatened to spill from his eyes. Robin saw his struggle and immediately softened. She turned to her friend. "Philippe, this is Sonny, an old friend. I really need to spend some time with him. I'll call you later, OK?" It wasn't OK, but Philippe knew he didn't have a choice. He looked at Sonny to gauge his intentions, and was met by a "don't push it" look. "OK, I'll see you later," he told Robin, turned, and walked off. Robin turned back to Sonny, "let's go inside."
A short while later, they were settled on the couch, drinking coffee. "Not bad," Sonny commented. "We've got a great new dark roast you'd probably like; I'll send you some." Robin smiled briefly, then got serious. "Sonny, you didn't come all this way to talk about coffee. Why are you here?" "I've missed you," Sonny replied, the words catching in his throat. "I've made so many mistakes Robin; I've hurt so many people. I never meant to hurt you." She interrupted, "you haven't hurt me Sonny, not really. Disappointed maybe. But then again, I know I've disappointed you too. We were all in a bad situation, it was very hard for anyone to come out a winner." Sonny nodded his head, "you got that right." "If it wasn't for..." "Go ahead, you can say it Robin. If it wasn't for Carly, right?" Robin nodded her head, "but she's your wife Sonny. And as much as I hate that, I won't make things worse by saying something about her to upset you. I was wrong to have done that at the Nurses' Ball. I know that hurt you, and I'm sorry." Sonny reached out and covered her hand with his. "It did hurt me, but I can't fault you. You were right about Carly all along, I know that now." "Sonny? What happened?" Robin asked. "She betrayed me; in the worst possible way." "How?" Sonny studied her eyes, and was grateful to see that familiar concern for him residing there. "It's better if you don't know too much," he replied. "Oh. So it was business-related?" "Yeah." "Sonny, I'm so sorry. All I've ever wanted was for you to find happiness in your life. You've had so much pain. I just knew Carly would cause you more. Frankly, I don't think she can help herself." "I think you're right. Well, it's over now; we're over." Robin nodded her head. "What about us Robin?" Sonny continued; "is there any way we can be friends again? Your friendship was the purest I've ever known. I know I don't deserve you, but I'm selfish like that." Robin smiled, "you deserve a lot more than you allow yourself to have Sonny. And I know you won't believe this, but your friendship was the purest I've known too; well, aside from Stone." Sonny beamed, "well, second place to Stone I can handle! Come here." He opened up his arms and Robin moved over to let him embrace her. He held her tightly, and they both cried.
They spent the rest of the week with Robin showing off Paris to Sonny in between her classes. Philippe tagged along on occasion, but felt like a third wheel. Sonny tried to be nice to him, but could only manage civility. He didn't have any specific objection to the guy, he just didn't seem worthy of Robin. When he shared his opinion with her over dinner one night, Robin laughed. "Would you think anyone was?" Sonny smiled, "probably not." "Well, you don't have to worry, he's just a friend." "He doesn't think so," Sonny commented. "Yeah, I know. I've meaning to have that talk with him. I'll do it soon. Besides, I'll be starting my medical internship soon, and it's not going to be here." "Really? Where are you going?" "It'll either be London, or the states, I haven't figured that out yet." "Do I get a vote?" Sonny asked hopefully. "I think I can guess your vote Sonny. But it wouldn't be Port Charles in any case. Although, I'm hoping to do my residency at GH." "Really! That's great!" "I wouldn't have even considered it until you came here, but now, it seems like a good idea to end up there." "Sounds like a good idea to me sweetheart," Sonny told her with a smile.
After a happy, but tear-filled goodbye, Sonny headed to the airport to go home. His heart was full and peaceful, at least for the time being. He tried not to think about what was waiting for him in Port Charles, Carly and their messy divorce. But he felt good about the pieces of his life he'd been able to put back together lately, and that was something to savor. He fell asleep during the flight and had a restful one. He was awakened by Johnny, who had accompanied him to Paris, informing him they were approaching Port Charles. Sonny looked at his watch and realized it was early evening. "Let's grab dinner at the No-Name Johnny." "Sure boss." Sonny realized his mind was wandering to more than just food. He was most definitely horny as hell, and hoped that beautiful blonde Jasmine would be there.
"Good evening Mr. Corinthos," the maitra'd greeted him at the door. "Good evening," Sonny replied. "Your usual table is waiting," the man added, leading him and Johnny to it. Sonny ordered a scotch and Johnny a beer. Since he was still on guard duty he wasn't allowed any hard liquor. They were just about to order dinner, when the woman in question came into the restaurant. She spotted Sonny immediately, and he stared back at her. Jasmine felt her insides turn to mush as she realized he was doing more than just glancing in her direction. She walked over to say hello. "Mr. Corinthos, so nice to see you again so soon." Sonny smiled, flashing his dimples, "now Jasmine, I thought we'd already decided you were going to call me Sonny." Jasmine beamed, "yes Sonny. Whatever you say." Sonny liked the sound of that and motioned for her to bend down so he could whisper in her ear. "If you really mean that, I say you should join us for dinner, and then join me later, in private." Jasmine gasped and quickly whispered back, "absolutely." Sonny motioned for the waiter to bring over another chair, and Jasmine took a seat, leaving her dinner companion standing by himself with his jaw hanging open.
After dinner, Sonny instructed Johnny to go for a long drive while he and Jasmine rode in the back of the limo. He had her naked within minutes, and her breast in his mouth seconds later. "Oh Sonny! Mmmm!" she moaned. "Oh yeah," Sonny groaned back, moving to the other breast. He pulled her on top of him, and she straddled him and tried to unbutton his shirt and wrestle off his suit coat. "Hold on," he told her and took them off himself. "Ooh," Jasmine purred, lowering her head to lick his hard, smooth chest. Sonny enjoyed it but then suggested she move her mouth to a different location. Falling to her knees in front of him, she willingly obliged. She freed him from his pants and lovingly stroked him. "Oh Sonny, you've got something really good for Jasmine don't you?" Sonny chuckled, "yeah, real good. Stop talking." Jasmine smiled and took him into her mouth. She expertly drove him over the edge in minutes and he exploded into her. "Unh!" he groaned. Jasmine licked him clean, got up and took a seat across from him, unsure of what he wanted next. Sonny rubbed his hands over his face, relishing the aftershocks. Then, he looked at her, "what are you doing way over there? Come here woman!"
