Sonny and Carly got married by a Justice of the Peace in the Penthouse, Sonny's
father Mike showed up with a very expensive silver bowl as a wedding gift. Unfortunately,
Mike was broke as usual, and had to borrow the money for the gift from a loan
shark. The loan shark worked for Sonny, who of course heard about the transaction
from Benny. When Sonny got home and saw the present, he was livid, and he and
Mike got into a huge fight which ended in Mike slapping Sonny across the face.
Mike was so ashamed of what he'd done, that he left town. Some time later, Tammy
Carson went to see Sonny, worried about Mike's dissapearance. After she left,
Carly came home and saw the state that Sonny was in. She tried to get him to
open up and talk about what he was feeling, and finally, Sonny told her that
he doesn't know how to make it work with Mike. My heart broke when he said this
line at the end of that scene.
