Learning by doing
Specialists in bringing technical knowledge and competence to learners of all ages, on five continents, for over twenty years. We selected the compass rose as our logo because, like a compass, we look upon our role to be that of guide, helping learners to build their own knowledge through a process of participation and discovery.
Whether directed at children or adults, our programs are predicated upon the realization that:
- Many of today’s learners have little opportunity to work with, or enjoy, the practical aspects of their academic studies.
- People with sophisticated academic accomplishments are, too often, incapable of resolving simple mechanical problems.
- Additionally, some of these same individuals often seem unable to communicate effectively.
During Ed’s 20 years in the high-technology field, these were topics of continued discussion.
