This kit is the non-compressible parts (poles and pegs) of the tent. By separating the parts of the tent and using a compression stuff sack for the soft parts, you will be better able to make use of smaller spaces in the pack. Since I have moved the tent itself to a third-party compression stuff sack, I just use the tent's original stuff sack to contain this part of the kit.

tent pegs. The soil in the Quetico-Superior area is often too thin and rocky to actually drive a tent peg. More often, the pegs will be used as 'dead-men', where a guy-line is tied to the peg and a heavy rock placed on top.
