Here are some things you can try at home or a the office.
Exercises
Bouncy-Bounce is a quick exercize that stretches the upper body, opens the lungs, and increases circulation. It's great for people who sit slumped at computers all day.
Drawing Circles is a quick exercize that strengthens the rotator cuffs.
Soaks
Fill your bathtub with comfortably hot water. Add two cups of Epsom salts and soak for ten to twelve minutes. The magnesium in Epsom salts helps the muscles to relax.
For the first ten to twelve minutes, your skin will release toxins. After that, it will begin to absorb water. If you stay in the same water you will begin to reabsorb the toxins you just released. (Why not to spend more then ten minutes in a public hot tub!) If you want to soak longer, drain the old water and replace it with fresh water, add more salts and soak to your heart's content.
If you wish, you may add essential oils to the bath. It is recommended to use ten drops or less in a bath. If you put the oil directly into the bath you will end up with an oil slick on top of the water. Instead, add the oil to something which will dissolve in the water, such as salts, or powdered milk. I have a cup that I use to mix mine. Add six or eight drops of essential oil to two tablespoons of salt (Epsom, or Dead Sea, or baking soda, or all of them together) or powdered milk, and stir the oil into the solids. Then add enough water to half-fill the cup and stir to dissolve the solids. Pour immediately in to the tub and begin soaking. The oil is released into the water (not onto it). Oil is lipophilic, and as you move gently in the water, when the oil comes into contact with your skin it will attach and then absorb into the skin.
Keep in mind that when you put oil into a bath it can come into contact with skin in delicate places. Know your oils!
One of my favorites is two drops each of eucalyptus, rosemary and lemon.
