What to Buy in Preparation For a Pandemic
posted by Violet

2 Tim 1:7
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

The first thing you need to do is pray. Remember the pandemic may not hit, or be as bad as expected. Plan for the worst, Hope for the best.

Ask the Lord to lead you as to what He wants you to do in preparation. This will depend on your income and number of family members.

The most important preparation you can do is spiritually. Are you having daily devotions, are you abiding with Christ constantly throughout the day and are you working out your salvation with fear and trembling?

Phil 2:12
Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,

The nice thing is that the items on this list will last for a long time even if the pandemic doesn't hit this year.
Don't be afraid, rather prepare as Noah did.

The following is a suggested list of what to purchase for a group of people in a household.
Number in household purchasing for: 4 Adults, 4 dogs, 4 pet birds indoor.

It may seem like too much to some and too little to others. Think about what you would need or want if you couldn't go to the store for a month.

4. 50 rubber gloves-$8.00 a box of 50-Home Depot (thin not the kind you do dishes with-many people are allergic to latex, but latex is cheaper than rubber. You can wear the latex over the rubber gloves, so the latex isn't touching your skin.
4. Clothes you can spray bleach on and not worry about ruining.
5. Shoes you can spray bleach on and not worry about ruining.
If the pandemic hits and you must go out, you will NOT want to walk into the house with your contaminated clothing and shoes on. Think of a place you can have a bucket of bleach water to put the clothes into and spray bottle to spray the shoes with. Ultra violet (the sun, uv light bulbs) light will also kill the virus.
