A Golden State of Mind
The Teens were treated to a Golden State Warriors game on January 18th in celebration of MLK. Thanks to the folks at GoldenStateofMind.com, a Warriors fan site, the teens enjoyed the hometown favorites defeat the Chicago Bulls. Thank you to Tony Robles and crew for the tickets.

Congratulations to Team MACcabeez for capturing November Unity Day 2009.

Team Red Cross represented well at the November Unity day by having a majority of their team there along with adding 38 cans to Sr. John Marie's pantry. They knocked the previous first place team of the Christ Crusaders. Keep up the good work and good spirit teams!

2009 Youth Rally " AM SECOND"
The 2009 High School Catholic Youth Rally "I AM SECOND" will be held on Saturday, November 7 at St. Bede Church (26950 Patrick Ave) in Hayward. This year we are pleased to be joined by singer/songwriter/guitarist/storyteller Jesse Manibusan and Fr. Agustino Torres, CFR.
- Permission Slip
- Download the permission slip (pdf format), print, complete, and have your parent sign
- Bring the completed & signed permission slip with you on Saturday morning, November 7 at St. Joe's.
- Meals
- Bring your own lunch and drink! There is no where nearby to buy a lunch and you will not be allowed off the grounds to buy one.
- Dinner provided (cost included in the registration fee).

Thanks to all those who attended our first Unity Day of the new Youth Ministry year. It was amazing to see all the teens be so spirited! We have 8 teams: Christ Crusaders, Crown City Rockers, Team Red Cross, MACcabeez, JesusWockeez, Jesus Warriors, JesusKidz, The Holy Rollers.
We have a new point system with points won in various ways for being spirited, good sportsmanship, attendance, service and challenges.
The October Unity Day had a series of team events. Football Kick! game with rally cries and teamwork and Balloon Stomp. Team Teal: Christ Crusaders came out on top for both competitions.
The point tallies are as follows:

Macabeez - 30
Jesus warriors - 13

Team Red Cross - 31
At the end of the year, the team that has accumulated the most points receives a handsome reward. Thanks for participating in the October Unity Day!

A very special Thank you to Mr. Chris Jeremiah and the Men's Club of St. Joseph for hosting the Youth vs. Men's Club softball game last Saturday. It was a great display of community, good sport, and camaraderie. We're pleased to announce that the softball game will now be annual!
