My sister-in-law, Lisa, convinced me to try a "Mississippi Shot", then photographed me, shiny hat, pursed lips, bodacious ta-taas and all. This set the tone for the rest of the evening.
Here's Steve, just beginning another evening of delighted debauchery.
See how the girls join in the festivities? Notice how comfortable Dorothy looks with that beer in her hand.
In fact, the inimitable Sister in Law took a tremendous amount of pleasure in posing this shot.
Here she is, our beloved hostess and corruptor of wives and daughters alike, my beloved Sister in Law, Lisa, who has discovered the time-honored truism - nieces are better, you mess them up and give them back.
Of course, with all this drinking and merriment, it's no surprise that it ended in chaos. It's a good thing nothing got broken.
As much as I'd like to blame this sort of thing on the influence of Lisa, the truth is this is about par for the course for the three of them. It's a wonder I don't drink more often...
No, seriously, if I had a problem with it I wouldn't have taken the pictures.
Like last year, the festivities included a night full of board games. There was a lot more happening here, too, but as the evening went on I found other things to do than snap pictures. I got just a few of the great outfits and costumes.
The costume theme this year was Shakespeare. In addition to the garb there was a soliliquy contest, won by Kat Dutton, dressed as a pirate, doing the self-introduction scene from "V for Vendetta", naturally. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of that. Here's Nathen and Barbara instead.
Another picture of Barb, this time with Tom. Notice the Shakespeare theme? Can you name the play?*
*Midsummers Nights Dream, naturally!
