Thoughts from the HeadMistress:

5-15-04: Thank you for your comments in the Guest Book. We have decided NOT to add the "revisionist" Emma history from the Mini-series to this Site. Too much has changed that does not follow cannon-book history. We feel strongly that this is not the early Emma Frost many know and love throughout the years. Oh, and don't forget to Sign the Guest Book and share your ~~thoughts~~ on the matter as well.  :)

Known Powers: Emma Frost is a mutant with incredibly powerful telepathic/psionic abilities. Among them is the ability to mask herself, and other peoples' presence from those around her. Emma can telepathically disguise herself, making her appearance to those around her quite different (changing the appearance of clothing, as well as more involved disguising). She is able to read minds and project thoughts extremely well, maintain mind-links with other individuals, create various convincing mental illusions, alter group memories, heal mental traumas, and control the will of others to do her bidding. Emma maintains a psychic-shield for protection and she can also generate powerful psionic mental-blasts as a weapon. Essentially, she has many of the powers that Professor Xavier does, but is not as skilled or powerful in their use. Emma also has the ability to Astral Travel and communicate with others astrally through her own will, or through contact with the thoughts and memories of others.

Emma Frost is still as much a student as she is a devoted teacher and career-woman. She was born the middle of three daughters into a wealthy elite New England family, which for generations made its vast fortune in the worldwide travel, shipping and merchant marine trades. Emma was provided with the finest in estate home, cultural upbringing, private tutoring and given a wealth of social activities. She was being groomed at a young age to one day take her place in the ranks of the upper-hierarchical society of Boston and New England proper. But all this halted suddenly when she was entering the stages of her teen and adolescent years. Emma Frost was changing and her family dealt with the shock as she was experiencing growing mental trauma. This in turn marked her as not a budding debutante but instead an outcast. She managed to escape the full weight of institutionalization by her parents who sought to send their middle daughter away for proper treatment from 'hearing voices' in her head. Once freed of this imprisonment through the use of her own emerging mutant powers to control the thoughts and will of others, Emma hit the streets and never looked back. She vowed she would never ask for anything twice in her life. From an early age forward, Emma's skills and talents have provided her with a wealth and style that few outside of living royalty have ever known. Her powerful developing meta-human mental abilities have since provided her large successful investments and land holdings, as well as ownership and administration of a multi-billion dollar corporation. This same unbridled financial freedom and passion for control over her rivals brought her rise and prominence in the social groups and among the elitists of world. She sought to capture the wealth and fame once denied her through a new destiny forged with plans and schemes known to few others even to this day. The White Queen is an Alpha(high-order) telepath, but she may also be a telekinetic. Recently she has manifested a secondary mutation that turns her skin into Living organic diamond. When Emma's mental powers first manifested, she could not control them, and couldn't block out the thoughts of others. Her parents, unable to deal with a girl who heard voices, put Emma in a mental institution, which was very traumatic. Finally, Emma realized that if she could hear the voices, she might be able to talk back, and took control of a guard, forcing him to release her and take her away. Emma came to New York, and was in the process of telepathically gleaning insider information from businessmen when she was approached by Harry Leland, who eventually invited her to join the Hellfire Club. That same night, Emma ran into Dark Beast, fresh from the "Age of Apocalypse", and helped him start to straighten out his disoriented mind. This led to a quasi-partnership, the details of which are still unknown. As the White Queen of the Hellfire Club, Emma was instrumental in the conversion of Phoenix to Dark Phoenix, as she was the designer of the device that gave Mastermind the ability to project his illusions at long range. She later tried to subvert the X-Men by switching bodies with Storm and kidnapping Kitty but the plan was thwarted by Storm while using Emma's body. Emma also ran the young super-team known as the Hellions until they were killed by a mutant from the future, Trevor Fitzroy. In that same attack Frost herself was gravely injured, and presumed to be dead, given that Phoenix transferred her own mind into Emma's body. Professor Xavier, however, believed that Frost had survived, because he didn't feel her death, so her body was kept in stasis in the Mansion. During an escape attempt by Sabretooth, an electrical discharge from an overloaded machine caught Frost and Iceman, waking Frost up and placing her mind in Iceman's body. She used his powers in fantastic ways to gain access to her Manhattan office, where she learned of her students' murders. Distraught to the point of "suicide by cop," Emma was finally tracked down by Xavier and Banshee and brought back to the Mansion, where her mind was put back in her body. When the Phalanx took over the Mansion and kidnapped the X-Men and assumed their forms, hunting for the next generation of mutants, Frost was freed from being their captive by Banshee and, with Sabretooth and Jubilee found and saved the neo-mutants. As personal penance for failing her students, she agreed to turn her Massachussetts Academy into an affiliate of the Xavier Institute, and is now the headmistress of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, home base of 'Generation X.' At one point when her investments took a big hit in the stock market, Emma was forced to ask her sister Adrienne for financial help, and wound up giving her the position of Headmistress. However, Adrienne soon revealed herself to be a villain by trying to kill the Gen X kids in order to torture Emma, and then left the school to assume the mantle of White Queen II. Emma remained the Academy's Headmistress through Adrienne's return, but after Adrienne set a bomb that killed Gen-X team member, Synch, Emma fatally shot her sister and retreated back. She funded many projects for the Gen X kids, but became increasingly cold and borderline psychotic, to the point where she violently mindwiped a cop who was asking about Adrienne. Following that, the Gen X kids all left the school, and Emma was recalled by Professor X, though she somehow ended up teaching in Genosha. When Cassandra Nova unleashed her Wild Sentinels and destroyed the mutant haven, Emma's class was killed with the rest of the mutants, but Emma survived and manifested a new power: turning her human form into organic diamond which she can switch to at will. Emma was rescued by the X-Men, and though she initially disdained their motives, soon joined their cause.
