Mechanical

Finally the day arrives.  Dressed for the thirty-five mile overland journey, she's almost ready to go.  Bobby, from C & N Marine / Boat Transport, makes sure that she'll travel well to the shop at 21 Mile & Jefferson Marine.  I had to remove her light mast and remote spot, to make sure she goes under the freeway overpasses instead of through them.

That's twenty thousand pounds plus resting comfortably on the trailer.  As I said, she's in pretty good shape for the most part, and I think I got her in the nick of time.  She wouldn't have made another season on the hard without having to cut her complete bottom out for replacement.

Much Better

Nice & Easy

Found another bad spot in the hull this morning, under the starboard engine.  No problem.  I talked with Mark at the shop and we'll re-plate a third of her bottom on both sides of her keel, so I won't have to face these problems again in a couple of years under the port side engine.
