These are Chrysler 440's. The Port side engine was rebuilt two years ago. Starboard??? Both are strong and will get me through the season.
Dan rebuilt the Prestolite distributors, and replaced the starboard oil pump. Both sea pumps were rebuilt for the closed cooling system; then oil change, plugs, wires, points, etc… and these 440's purr. The starboard motor will be rebuilt this coming winter---and yes, I'll be keeping the 440's, which aren't speed demons with the 1 to 1 transmissions, but are strong motors for cruising. And let's face it, a 37' Riviera Express Cruiser wasn't built to be the fastest boat on the water---but to get you there in style and comfort.
