The Chelmsford Bass Tacklers was founded in 1990 as a non-competitive teaching club. The club format has changed since than but we retain our basic values. The current club format is based on an individuals accomplishments, however while the club will be competitive, we will emphasize the sharing of knowledge and keeping a friendly atmosphere.

The club continues to attract novice fisherman and is made up of a blend of pro anglers as well as inexperienced tournament fisherman. Over the years the club has taught many anglers the finer art of fishing and many of our members have moved on to fish the more competitive clubs and pro trails. With our current club format we hope to retain the experienced angler and provide our newest members with access to their fishing knowledge.

Each year we try to fish a combination of new and previous fished waters. This keeps the interest high and hones the skill level of our anglers by providing them with new challenges each year.

Peter McAllister is the club's, Angler of the Year for the first time. Peter was determined to win this years honor and despite his loose spirit, Peter is all business on the water. Its always good to see new blood win the top club honor for the year. Peter worked hard to beat out a pretty good array of fisherman. What is next for Peter? Is it a taste of humility or will he continue to excel. If you think you have it, come and join our club and see if you can unseat Peter. This is the second year in a row where we had a new face win it all. Its a tough task, but it can be done, who’s going to step up? See below for more information.

Our club is looking for new members, Boaters, experienced or inexperienced. We meet as a club on the first Thursday of each month in Chelmsford. Anyone interested in joining the club should contact our club president, Jamie Worth at 603-801-6745.
