Our Mission is to send children with Leigh’s disease, mitochondrial or metabolic disorders a gift, for them to enjoy, create memories, know they are special and provide support to the families who care for them.

How it began.....
The program is born:
I created a website for Elijah in April of 2004 as on outlet to share my experiences and learn from others. I began to add information about our favorite books to the website. I called it Elijah’s Reading Corner. Each week I picked a book that meant something to Eli and I and explained why. Our fifth choice was Snuggle Puppy, a little love song by Sandra Boynton. I found a website about her and sent an e-mail telling them about little Eli. I explained that we had picked Snuggle Puppy as our book for the week. I was shocked when the very next day I received an E-mail from Sandra’s assistant Kathleen. She explained that they do not normally reply to e-mails. Eli’s story had touched them. She mailed Elijah two signed books and a stuffed snuggle puppy. I was so deeply touched by the gifts. Kathleen also said that they would like to donate to the Leigh’s foundation. I sadly explained that I didn’t know of one. She offered to send book donations directly to me to send to children affected by Leigh’s. I graciously accepted and Eli’s Angels was born in July 2004. The official paperwork was started in September 2004.
Purpose of our Program:
Our Goal is to mail literature to children diagnosed with Leigh’s syndrome and other mitochondrial or metabolic disorders. As our program grows we hope to expand into mailing more packages to these children.

I am deeply saddened to tell you
that our beloved son Elijah earned his wings at 4:30am on, November 25th, 2005.
As most of you know, Elijah was a fighter and beat the odds. His prognosis was
that he would live to the age of two at most. Well, my little Eli fought his way
to 2 years, 9 months, and 10 days. He was without a doubt a true Angel on Earth
and touched so many lives. He was and is the inspiration for Eli's Angels.
Ann and I cherished each day with our Bear, but nothing could prepare us for his
passing. Elijah was loved by so many and for that we thank each and every one of
you. Without your love and support, Ann, Eli, and I would never have made it
this far. I know my Elijah is in a better place; sitting at the throne of our
Heavenly Father. I know he is running with Angels through open fields, laughing
and playing; no longer restricted by earthly handicaps. This is some
consolation, but a huge hole is left in our hearts. Never to feel his touch,
hold his hand, or snuggle with him before bedtime. Please pray for Ann and I and
all of Eli's Angels as we struggle through the daily challenges
associated with theses terrible diseases. Please pray for our own Angel,
Elijah, returned as an innocent to our Creator, much like the prophet he was
named after. Into the Heavens on a chariot of fire; our Elijah now waits for us
to some day join him. Ann and I would also like to thank you all for your
support through this trying time and your generous donations to the program.
We are planning something special for the kiddos for Christmas and would
appreciate your support.
Chad & Ann
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17
