HELPFUL HINTS
- When on escalators, stay to the right to allow faster traffic on the left and to avoid angry looks!
- Do not take questionable items - bags and people are scanned everywhere.
- Take photo identification to attend federal buildings.
- Be sure to get tickets for the Washington Monument in advance.
- If interested in visiting the White House, be sure to write your Congressperson at least 3 months in advance.
- Only food sold around monuments is by street vendors, so come prepared.
