The world of nature is my inspiration. My quest is to capture that beauty just for a moment. Watercolor was once my favored medium, loving it for its delicacy. Then pastels captured me, because they allowed me to finally get those velvety blacks. And now, I prefer oils. Oil enables me to work in any size and get smooth gradations of color.

Flowers are endlessly fascinating to me, especially now that modern tools (cameras, scanners) allow me to probe their finest details. I'm also intrigued with light in the landscape. American artists Georgia O'Keefe and Arthur Dove are my heroes.
