Jennifer Greenberg Featured in AutoWeek Magazine
Although Jennifer Greenberg's stock car adventure in California is over (for now), she is still receiving attention from the press. The July 21, 2008 issue of AutoWeek magazine (a national weekly publication) had a story on drag racer Ashley Force and "5 Fast Women Your Mother Never warned You About!" Renowned racer and journalist Denise McCluggage wrote the portion on Jennifer. Ms. McCluggage is one of the true female pioneers in motorsports, having competed in the 1950's and 1960's when women were really not welcome in the auto racing world.

While the stock car results were not as successful as Jennifer hoped, the experience was both incredible and valuable. The High Point Racing team was top notch and provided her incredible support. The most painful part of the experience was the cost! The sponsorship package that was assembled was thought to be enough for 12 races (out of a 20 race season). However, the NASCAR Late Model Stock Car competitors truly subscribe to the adage that "rubbing is racing" and there is a lot of contact that tears up a lot of equipment. The repair bills were enormous and the money ran out after 6 events.
As this is written, the Midget that Jennifer raced in 2007 is being prepared with the plan of running at least a few Rocky Mountain Midget Racing Association and Arizona Midget Racing Association races this fall. Jennifer has also done a couple of weekends as a guest instructor at the Loree Racing School where the students learn to road race Mazda Miatas. Jen has also been doing some karting to stay sharp.
Jennifer is chomping at the bit to get back in an open wheel car, so stay tuned for results from events later this year.
