The nightstand, shown in walnut, is available in several sizes.  The single draw and open area below seems to be the most popular.  Liberal use of sapwood provides interesting color contrasts.  I also frequently use the natural defects in the wood as long as they do not affect structural integrity.

The construction uses floating panel sides. Solid wood construction used  throughout (no plywood or veneer except for the drawer bottom).  The piece is oiled for easy maintenance. 

The nightstand is available in many different woods and finished with multiple coats of tung oil.  Overall dimensions can be tailored to your bed height.  Electrical outlets can be conveniently built in for a lamp, clock or other electrical devices at for an additional charge.
