About Peerless Powerskating

The Peerless Power Skating method has evolved over many
years of working, both individually and in groups, with hundreds of
students. It is based in large part on my own background in skills
development. With great teachers to guide me, I learned the importance
of a sound technical foundation and its role in performance.
I teach my students not only the fundamentals of correct
skating, but how to skate to play the game. In working with so many
hockey players over the years, I have learned from them what works and
what doesn't. As a result, I have created drills that help skaters at
all levels achieve technical mastery.
Powerskating sessions should be spent in learning to
skate better. Speed does not develop technique, but good technique will
produce speed. Powerskating sessions should be about quality ice time
spent building a good, solid skating foundation. While this technique
building can take several years, the reward is being able to skate the
game at its highest level.
