What is "Freeware"?
Meal-Master is fully copyrighted and is not in the public domain. All rights are retained by the author (Scott Welliver) and Episoft Systems.
Previously distributed as "shareware", beginning with release 8.06 Meal-Master is now considered "freeware" for most uses. Freeware distribution allows individuals and non-profit organizations to use the software at no charge. The software cannot be "sold", "rented", or otherwise distributed in a "for profit" enterprise. Companies, government agencies, and for profit organizations must contact the author for specific licensing costs and terms of use.
Why change from Shareware to Freeware?
Family, health issues, and other interests no longer leave sufficient time to continue development, process orders, and support new customers. Existing registered customers will still be given technical support via Email. An attempt will also be made to answer inquiries from non-registered (freeware) users on a "time available" basis. The diskettes, printed manuals, and other reference materials previously available to registered users are no longer available.
