Bluegrass and Other Acoustic Jams in the

Central Atlantic and New England Regions

Compiled by Edward I. Pollak, Ph.D.

(revised 7/7/09)

WARNING!

Some jams will miss specific dates due to holidays, change venues or go on hiatus during the summer.  Never attend a new jam without calling first to double check that it’s still being held.

These jams differ widely in terms of the levels of musicianship. This is another reason for contacting the jam organizer before attending a jam. He/she can probably give you a feel for such things. In addition, you should feel free to e-mail me at epollak@wcupa.edu if you would like my impressions of a particular jam. I haven't been to all of the jams listed below but I've been to many of them.

For jams in the New York City greater (tri-state) metropolitan area see
