Brief Biography
 
Eric Durbrow was raised in the United States and in France. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree at Oberlin College in Anthropology & Sociology and his Master’s and Doctoral Degrees in Anthropology at University of Missouri-Columbia. He was a NIMH postdoctoral fellow in developmental psychology at the Institute of Child Development, University of Minnesota. At Minnesota, he began one of the few longitudinal studies of children in a developing country, the Saint Vincent Child Study. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in human development at the University of Minnesota and the Pennsylvania State University. Currently he teaches developmental psychology at the National University and writes on child adversity, especially in developing societies. He is also involved in refugee outreach in the Sacramento area.
