TRUTH I completed this piece on a retreat in fall of 2004, a week of silence and contemplation that resulted in many important personal discoveries. I had been seeking a relationship with a God who belonged either to a painful Catholic past or a conservative Evangelical present, neither of which suited my interests. Instead, I found a God who belonged to a bright, clear, unhindered, unattached, wide-open future. |
