Eric Hallenbeck was raised in Trenton Michigan. A 1972 graduate of Trenton High School, he attended Michigan State University and Detroit’s College for Creative Studies where he studied Photography. Eric has been a freelance photographer producing both commercial and artistic photographs for the past 29 years.

His current project (one of many), is photographing lighthouses around the country. He and his wife have thus far made excursions to 12 states, and of course Michigan. The happy travelers have visited over 150 lighthouses and lightships to date!

Eric owns and operates Visual Imagineering, visucomp.com, one of the earliest websites devoted to photography on the internet. He also operates Visual Imagineering Services, an Information Technology support company. Eric is certified in: CompTIA A+ (Core Hardware and Operating Systems) CompTIA Network+ (LAN / WAN Networking and Configuration) CompTIA Convergence+ (Voice-Over-IP / Video / Data Converged Networks) CompTIA DPI+ (Printing and Document Imaging Systems)

The combination of being a Photographer / Computer Technician established Eric’s belief that the marriage of photography and computers is the destiny of graphics communication. Hence his slogan, “Visual Imagineering…Where Cameras and Computers Collide” is posted with all of his work.
