Thursday

Last Thursday, we gathered at my Mom’s house for our annual summer game day. Attendance was down somewhat but we still had a good group and played a decent number of games. Attending were myself, Carol, Rachel, Ben, Beth (my mom), Trenton Jones (my nephew), Mike Murphy, Paul Seegers, and Paul Czarnota. Also, for the first time, my brother, Mark, and my niece, Courtney, came by to play a game. Because Paul Czarnota had to be back home the next morning, it was an early evening for us, ending at 1AM.

The tally is below. (Winner listed in bold).

That’s all for the Indiana group until Christmas!

Epic Duels Ben/Bob, Rachel/Trenton Bob: Luke and Obi Wan beat up on Darth Maul and Darth Vader.

Rheinländer Carol 32, Bob 32, Paul C 32, Mike 30, Trenton 28 Bob: I think we messed up the end game. The rules are somewhat unclear as to when the game ends. We ended it at the end of the turn a player played his last knight. I now believe players should finish the current round. If true, I screwed myself out of the win in the second game. Ah well.

Shadows over Camelot Paul S, Paul C, Carol, Trenton, Rachel, Bob, Mike (traitor) Bob: This was a very good game marred by one slight rule mishap. For the first part of the game we allowed a second same heroic action at the sacrifice of a life point. We should only have allowed a different heroic action. This helped us to finish two quests, The Black Knight, and Lancelot’s Armor, more easily than we should have. Of course the traitor was the one who found Lancelot’s Armor! Mike played the Traitor better than I have yet seen him played and may have won had we not made things easier for the good guys. Credit goes to Carol who umasked him just before the end of the game. As it was, good triumphed! We had a lot of fun with this.

Attika Bob, Mike, Beth, Rachel/Trenton Bob: Rachel took over the last few turns for Trenton when he had to leave. This was as close a game of Attika as I’ve seen.
