Okay, another too too long absence from blogging, so I will have to get alot of news in without much detail. BIG news of today is my NEW CAR!!! It's a blue 2004 Toyota Corolla, but we have dubbed it "Baby Lexus", perhaps as a pretext of things to come when a new car won't be enough to break the bank. As things are, I am pretty much broke. My monthly payments, along with rent, phone bills, and my DATA (martial arts) membership now include a substantial check to pay of my debt to the 'rents. Mom already has a payment plan set up for me. In other news, I have very definite intentions of moving to Maryland with MCI and working in Washington DC. All the details are still in the works... I'm still searching for a transfer, but the important thing is that this is a very agreeable decision to everyone, including my parents, whose thoughts are still paramount next to God's. This is a little disconcerting in regards to my so-called adulthood, but whether it be a smooth transition or a rude awakening, I will one day gain a reasonable amount of independence from Mommy and Daddy. I will go through life forever thankful of how the Lord has blessed me with parents who have always exemplified the kind of life I want to lead. As previously mentioned, I have also started taking marial arts, specifically kajukembo, which is a specialized mix of karate, chinese boxing, judo and other techniques. It's the best alternative I've found to dancing, because of it's emphasize on technique and strength. Cardio is involved but secondary to everything else.
I'll admit that everything involving my love life and all that I'm doing in pursuit of it has put me on edge... but in a good way. I'm sure of my feelings for MCI and his for me, so the most important things are taken care of. It's an emotionally rollercoaster that won't jump the tracks because of the serenity provided by that assurance.

Another month gone by... Michigan was MARVELOUS!!! I loved it. MCI's family and friends are great people and have a joint history and dynamic that I lack. Most of his friends are young couples, some married with kids already. We spent Memorial Day with his parents and ate barbequed ribs, portabellas and veggies, with creampuffs and cheescake for dissert. Very tasty but hard on my system after surviving on mostly veggies for the last few weeks. Seeing MCI was lovely. My doubts about our compatibility have completely dissolved and I'm content knowing that I have someone I can love who loves me back. :-)
Getting back to work was a little disappointing. Only two days and it was back to the grindstone, but thankfully the grindstone ain't so bad. I'm trying to liven up my schedule a bit, signing up for martial arts and getting ready to do some rollerblading this afternoon. I haven't exercised in forever!
