I have marked a few items with my own copyright, as I feel that they are not derivative but original works. You may quote from these works, but please contact me before republishing a substantial portion.
I consider everything else I upload to the internet to be within the public domain. I have neither the time nor the inclination to worry about plagiarism of works based on someone else's ideas. You may borrow, archive, spindle, fold or mutilate my characters, stories and other uploads to your heart's content on two conditions:
- You do not need to ask permission, but please give me credit if you use my work. I do respect the rights of others concerning their work and I don't want to be accused of stealing my own stuff! Anything that does not belong to me, such as the graphic cut from J.W. Waterhouse's 'Mariana in the South' and all quotes, characters and other property of the Tolkien Estate (used here under the guidelines of 'Fair Use') should be used without credit to me, though you may certainly reference my pages as your source.
- None of my work, whether in part or in whole, may be used for profit. This includes but is not limited to:
- use in 'zines', cd collections or other media sold for profit;
- upload to web sites requiring paid membership.
This is a key requirement of 'Fair Use' and I do not want to violate copyright.
