A little history of Me

Born in Belchertown,Ma. in September, 1949.

Attended Belchertown schools until 1963. In 1964 I attended Holyoke Trade School ( now known as William Dean Technical High School). I majored in auto mechanics. I graduated in 1967.

On September 18, 1968 I joined the USN, SeaBees. I was stationed in Gulfport, Ms. in MCB-133, A-Co. I was also stationed at Camp Wilkinsen, Gia Le, Republic of Vietnam from June 1969 thru March 1970.

I married Patricia Ann Piekara on 17 November 1972. We have four children: Kelly, Karen, William Jr. and Michael.
On April 11,2003, I lost my wife and best friend to a 3 year battle with cancer. I will always hold her close to me and never, ever forget the love of my life. 

I graduated from Holyoke Community College in 1986.

I received a Batchelor's Degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1995.

I also attended  Western New England College in Springfield, Ma. where I received a  Master's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration. I am a former Adjunct Professor there. One of my classes is here: WNEC Course 

I joined the Granby Auxiliary Police in 1974. In 1979 I became a Part-Time Police Officer. And in 1986 I was appointed a full-time position. March 4, 2001 I was appointed to the position of Sergeant. I usually work the 3-11 PM shift.

On December 31, 2007, I retired from the Granby Police Department.

I have four grandsons; Mark, Justin , William and Michael Paul Jr. Our first grand-daughter- Julia and our newest, Isabella.
